Since the wedding I have probably gained 10 pounds and it is incredibly depressing

I've known that I've been gaining weight but seeing myself in some pictures lately as really driven the point home. I know it's only 10 pounds but aren't those the hardest to lose? I have a terrible time with motivating myself to get off the couch but I know that I don't want to get any bigger. It also doesn't help that AF is around right now so I'm super doughy but I still feel so gross. With winter here now too, it doesn't help with the motivation either. How do you ladies maintain your motivation to stay a WILF
Hey, Hey Hockeytown!

Re: Gaining Weight
WILF......hahaha! I haven't heard that before, I like it
Anyway, I know how you feel.....I've gained since the wedding too. I've been using myfitnesspal.com to track my calories and trying to workout as much as possible. I cheat too much so I'm not seeing the results as fast as I want but have to try everyday! I want to be back in shape by H's birthday in March.
I lost around 20 lbs right after the wedding- from being sick so it wasn't good. It's the your body is not absorbing nutrients feel like crap kinda wight loss.
Since then I've gained back almost all of them and a few I think. The weight isn't as bad as feeling solthy since I haven't had a whole lot time to work out. Final night of classes tomorrow and surgery on Wednesday and my theory is with PT and such I'll be more active.
I joined the YMCA so I'm hoping paying the fee makes me motivated ;-) I can't wait to do yoga after surgery- group classes are my happy place.
I've gained 70 pounds - but I've also gained a person because I'm pregnant
hahaha
I just want to second using myfitnesspal.com. I used it to drop weight before the wedding and it was awesome. Seeing where all of my calories were coming from really helped me. I plan on using it again.
I too have gained weight but with everything that has happened since then I understand it. However I want to lose it now yet I do agree with Christmas here there is no point at all to start now. H and I want to start TTC in Feb so I need to lose at least a little weight before packing on more.
WILF- this is amazing and I have never heardthis BUT I will be using it!
I was just thinking how gross I've been feeling from weight gain + AF.
Like tmeyer I'm going to wait until after Christmas to REALLY crack down. I'm hoping weight watchers will do a special around the first of the year, their online program is less than $20/month so that's my plan! Then once I'm down a few pounds I'm hoping to start the couch to 5k program again. I've always wanted to run a 5k so I'm hoping 2013 will be my year!
