Anyone traveled to any Arizona resorts?
Any recommendations on high end hotels/resorts? The location does not matter right now as we are just looking. We've never been there and would be traveling in Nov 2013. We're not touristy much so just looking for a really nice hotel/resort with a pool etc and next to shops or some life if possible. thanks!
Re: Anyone traveled to any Arizona resorts?
Our wedding on Wilson Island!
The Phoenician (it is not that far from Old Town Scottsdale that a mall, shops, restaurants, bars)
W Scottsdale (walking distance to the mall, shops, restaurants, and bars)
JW Marriott at Desert Ridge (when I stayed there for a conference they had a shuttle that would take you to the Desert Ridge Marketplace with some shops, restaurants, and bars)
The Sanctuary at Camelback Mountain (would need a rental car to get to things, but the location is very peaceful and we went to the restaurant there called Elements when we lived in Arizona)
Another vote for the Phoenician! I lived in Phoenix for a couple of years and have traveled back to AZ a dozen or so times, and the Phoenician is still my absolutely favorite resort in AZ! It's gorgeous, romantic, and has an excellent location.
The Hyatt at Gainey Ranch is also wonderful, as is the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess, though they are a bit further from some of the central shopping and restaurant areas. The JW Marriott Camelback Inn is also very nice, and often a bit less pricey than the others.
