Feel like I am shopping for a nine year old
Since most of Js presents from me came from Toys R Us. And he wanted one of the most hard to get this year nerf guns, apparently, because it is sold out almost everywhere. And it went up in price $5 dollars since I looked last.
Re: Feel like I am shopping for a nine year old
There's not a laughing smiley face. Sad! But this made me laugh pretty hard. It reminds me of shopping for my hubby. He's 31 and all of his gift ideas that are under $50 are from ThinkGeek. Stuff like light sabers to mount on the wall in his office. His sister was giving him a pretty hard time about his list. But if it's not geeky or toys then it's crazy expensive.
DH is a gamer but he tends to buy any game he wants right when it comes out. Luckily they are far and few between. He likes a lot of the online games like Minecraft. I ordered him some slippers and shirts from LLBean. I know he needs them and wants them. We went small on our gifts to each other this year because we are flying to California to visit his sister and will be doing lots of stuff while visiting. So we are trying to save some money for that. Lets not forget the new TV we "needed" back in September. Yeah, that was Christmas for us this year too.
Lol! I feel the same way about T. Except more a teenager. Everything he wanted was XBOX games, Microsoft points, a new headset, a new battery pack for his controller, etc. etc. I did get him some white T-shirts and stuff like that, some stuff he needs. But yeah everything he wanted was XBOX.
Maybe I should get me and T some Nerf guns. That would solve a lot of issues haha. Or just break a lot of things = )
Also...thank goodness there's other hubby's out there who are gamers. I thought I was the only one dealing with a gamer husband = )

I agree on the no clothes thing, but DH made that kind of hard this year. We want something to open on Christmas day that we can pack in our suitcases to bring home. Do slippers count as clothes?? He specifically asked for them. And the shirt I got as a surprise because he has the tendency to wear his clothes until they are full of holes. And it fits in a suitcase.
He got the big TV he wanted.
Married the love of my life on 1-21-12. Our princess arrived on 5-28-13.
There are 363 other days of the year for things that one needs. Christmas and birthdays should be for things one wants.....
The big TV fit in the suitcase?
As for the slippers, yes, they could as clothes, but we will ignore them since he asked for them.
I love looking at ThinkGeek. There's just nothing there that I feel is worth the money.
ohhh me! pick me! That's T to a t haha.

LOL, no, the big TV would definitely not fit in the suitcase. It's on our wall. We bought it just before his knee surgery, so we've been enjoying it for a while now. Well I should say he has been. I'm rarely home during the semester. But I'll enjoy it on my Christmas Break.
