Cooking Club 12/11/12 - Football Fare
Ok, I'm tired of holiday menu ideas. Let's talk football food. What do you make on Sundays if it's just a quiet day of watching the Pats kick butt? What do you make if the guys are all coming over? If you have just a few friends coming by?
Share your fav football food here!!!

Haven't made these, but they are "healthier" and look yummy to me! All from Cooking Light.

Michele, what's that sauteed onion dip recipe that you made? My husband would disagree with me, but it was sooooooooooooo good!
EDIT: I think it was this one -- http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/ina-garten/pan-fried-onion-dip-recipe/index.html
I found this recipe when I was having people over last month and i think I posted in here about a menu. These were a big hit. I actually used a slightly varied recipe that called for ketchup instead of chili sauce, But i'm sure either would be great!

To make it easy I bought a bag of precooked meatballs and threw them in.
When we have a big crowd I always make this dip. I have to say the coloring doesn't look super appetizing, its like a brownish green. but I promise its good.
1 can of salsa of your choice (the short size), I use medium
1 avocado
1-2 tbsp of franks red hot depending on how hot you like it
Just mix it all up and serve with carrots, celery and chips.
