Florida getaway...Sanibel/Ft. Myers, etc.
Looking to book a 4 day getaway with the DH to the Ft. Myers Beach OR Sanibel Island or Tampa/Sarasota areas at the end of January. Anyone stayed anywhere nice and relaxing? This is a relaxing/beachy/reading a book/pool all day kind of vaca. Don't care about nightlife for this trip, but good food is a plus! Any recommendations? Can fly into either Tampa or Ft Myers so anything less than an hour shuttle from both would work...

it's really not great beach weather in those areas in January. I mean, it can be, but you aren't guarenteed 85 and sunny. I think you are looking more into the 60s / low 70s. I would do a quick weather.com or google search so you aren't disappointed.
that having said, we've been eyeing up the Ritz in Sarasota for a weekend getaway- looks great.
That's ok - I don't need to swim, just to be able to enjoy being outside. I live in Milwaukee so 60s and 70s would be just fine:)
I have been to Miami in January, and we swam then. Maybe if we wanted to swim, we should look at the Miami area instead...
