So Noah has a Kindle? Does he like it? Maybe not too much if he's wanting a DS? :)

Re: ** Amber **

  • He does have a kindle and he really likes it.   He uses it all of the time.  I think he is just an electronics kind of guy and all of the other kids have a DS, so he wants one, too.(We have an iPad and Walt and I both have iPods, too and he uses those, too.)  I was really against the DS (the games are $$$ as opposed to the $1-$2 games for the kindle), but it's the ONLY thing on his list.   Walt and I really didn't know what to do.  So we settled on the plain old DS for $99 instead of the 3DS  that's $169.   I'm sure next year it will be something else!
  • Oh I know! My friend's son is in 2nd grade and is driving her crazy because all of this friends have their own iPod Touch and he has to share with his sister. Although, I would rather spend the money on something like that than another interactive stuffed animal that doesn't do what it's supposed to!
  • Gavin just informed santa that he wants a DS, iPad and Skylanders. "But Mommy,it' only THREE things!" I didn't think he even knew what an iPad was b/c neither DH nor I have one! And he just got a LeapPad in May for his bday, so the DS is out. I hate technology!

  • Gotta love that rationale! I recently read a blog where that kind of over asking for Christmas was described as dreaming big, rather than being selfish. So now when Lanna wants to add "one more (HUGE) thing" to her list I tell myself she's just a girl with big dreams ;)

That's a good point - I should try not to squash the kid's big dreams by laughing at him then, eh?!
