New moon - affect animals?

Has anyone seen this? I just realized that last night was a New Moon and I'm wondering if it affected our dog because the dude was pacing and whimpering ALL night. I know animals tend to have senses we don't....

DH and I took turns getting up and Kodi would run to the deck door; we'd let him out and he's either roam around the backyard sniffing or he'd wait for me to go out with him (which wasn't happening!) so then he would come back in. And the whole thing would start all over again.

I really don't have any point to this post here - just really wondering!

  • Hmmm...you may be on to something.  I came downstairs to Deuce having an accident on the floor and he never does that anymore.

  • that is interesting.  Last night Daisy was such a PITA.  She is usually so sweet, but she was just barking and barking at me for no apparent reason, for like 10 minutes.  it was very annoying and very uncharacteristic of her!

  • Mine were normal last night.  There was a pretty big meteor shower last night. Maybe Kodi wanted to go watch it with you.  Bella one night stared at the back door for 10-15 minutes. which she doesn't do ever. Like she was watching something. But had it been an animal she would have barked or ignored.  And had it been a person she really would have barked. I have no idea what caught her attention that night.
  • Hmmm, maybe my dog is broken.  He never "senses" anything like that.
