Tanger vs. Grove City Outlets Question
If you were planning a shopping outing, which place would you go to and why? I haven't been to Grove City since I was in college and I've never been to Tanger.
If you've been to Tanger a few times, what do you like or dislike about it.
(I'm both considering an outing and doing some research for work. Thanks!)

Re: Tanger vs. Grove City Outlets Question
I have been to both a couple of times and I find them comparable. For me it comes down to the stores you want to shop at. I haven't been to Grove City in quite a number of years but I was at Tanger for Black Friday and I thought the Banana Republic store was awesome. I can't remember if they have an Ann Taylor but for me, that's another outlet mall must-have. DH loves the Saks store (Off Fifth) which closed at Grove City but is open at Tanger. If you're going for work clothes, I think it's worth a visit.
I feel that Grove City has more stores--but they both have th emajority of the stores that I shop at. Osk Kosh, Carters, Children's Place and Crazy 8 for the kids. Ann Taylor, Gap, Banana Republic for me.
I typically go to Grove City when faced with the choice though--I feel the stores I frequent are larger.
Tanger makes perfect sense for me since I'm from the south hills. When I visit my parents my BFF and I go to Tanger. It's so close!
I agree with Emmy that it depends on what stores you want. Grove city seems much larger with more stores but they aren't ones I really go to. I like tanger because its more manageable and it has the stores I want anyways.
I feel the same way. I think they've added a few more stores at Tanger since the last time I was there, though.
I would visit the websites and scope out which has the stores you might want. For me, it would be closer to head to Tanger if they had what I wanted than to head to Grove City (not sure if it's the same for you). Also -- I think Tanger might feel less crazy than Grove City. I've only been to GC a handful of times, but each time I go I feel like there are people climbing the walls.

Except for the dad working there part, I agree. It takes me about 15 minutes to get to Tanger from my parents' house, and it would take me around an hour and a half to get to Grove City. I don't think any of the prices are that much better at the outlets anyway, but there's no way I'm driving that far when I can just go to Tanger.
I think Tanger is designed better. It has the stores I like and less of the random crappy stores. Grove City is so spread out that it is a chore to go between stores. Tanger feels more like a mall. It is much easier to run back to your car with bags.
Also, Tanger is awesome for moms. Tons of bathrooms, and a separate room within each bathroom for moms with a changing table, sink and rocking chairs for nursing.
Tanger never feels crowded to me, whereas Grove City is a rat race sometimes.
On the downside, Tanger's food court sucks. Subway, a chinese place and a pizza place.
I shop at Tanger more than any mall.
I love Tanger.
1. way way way closer to me
2. It is smaller and mostly covered if just the sidewalk infront of the store so even in the rain it isn't so bad, and I feel like they have all the stores I can want and others, but not tons and tons that I have no use for
3. All the stores I like are on the same wing for the most part! I go in and all the way to the right and part close to the shops near Nike and Columbia- 2 stores we frequent. Then gymboree, gap kids, gap, old navy, carters, auntie ann's are all in that same section. There are times we have gone, done that wing and left!!
Other than maybe childrens place I think it is and the Lancome store I can could almost never leave that section! lol.

Ugh. Yes. And this. I don't understand why they didn't think that through a little more and make the foodcourt better. I wonder if rent is insane and no one wanted to lease a spot. I also wish a more mainstream or at least better quality coffee shop could be in there.
