FFFC

Friday confessions....anyone got them?

I'm sitting here during a planning period waiting for the bell to ring with nothing better to do than nest!  I need some entertainment!

I guess my confession is that I know I need to eat better and keep working out even though it's cold out, but I just don't care.  I ate like 5 cookies yesterday and I'm planning on having more with a glass of wine tonight.

Re: FFFC

  • I'm still in my pajamas.   For the second day this week.  I know I have a good excuse, but I still feel like a slacker!!

    I didn't know morning sickness meant 2am-5am... :)

  • I took the week off of work for this week because I work for the state and have "use it or lose it" personal leave leftover. My confession is that I still sent DD to daycare for her normal 3 days this week. I feel bad, because as of late, she prefers DH over me, but I also know that (a) I can't keep up with the kid right now - she's got more energy than I can handle and she gets cabin fever easily, and with DH working from home all the time I can't take her to the basement (where her slide is, brought in from outside) and I'm still recovering from a sh*tty respiratory infection so we can't go outside with out me sounding like my lungs are coming out of my chest when I cough. I used the time while she was at school to clean the house, visit friends with newborns (wasn't going to bring DD with me, she is full of daycare germs!) and work on things for winter guard, our Christmas cards and editing our photos from vacation.

Also, I'm considering feigning a migraine tomorrow so we don't have to drive to PA to see the ILs, (a) b/c their house is NOT remotely childproof and last time I spent the entire time chasing DD aorund the house and she still got coal on her (don't ask!) and lost 3 toys b/c their house is so messy and (b) we are just going to see them again next weekend and they are going to spoil DD rotten and I'm going to have a huge mess to clean before Christmas (from all the toys, paper and packaging...they spent (once again) about $1K on DD after I asked them to cut back) and hear about how I'm parenting my daughter (they want us to let her do whatever she wants, uhm, no) and when we are having another one (when my f*ing body works right, not that that is THEIR damned business).

*sigh* I'm a bundle of Christmas cheer today!

Omigosh!  You need hugs, girl!  Don't feel guilty for sending DD to daycare, she probably had a blast and you got some much needed time to do other things so you could have more fun when she got home!

Thanks. She apparently whined all day and hardly ate. I love molars (NOT).  She was clingy all night and barely ate when we got home, too. She had a bit of a graham cracker, some veggie puree (from a Plum squeezy packet, love those things), three bites of spaghetti and like 4 little bites of cheese. I think DH eventually got her to eat some yogurt while I was making dinner for us. I know she won't starve herself, but teething makes her a miserable, tired, hungry mess.  It's frustrating that she handles it so badly, almost makes me want to not have another....except that based on what we've seen from her so far, the kid needs a sibling so she will learn to share, haha.

Aw I'm sorry. :-(  Hope things get a little better for you guys!
