Can we say PAID OFF for a bowl game?!
I mean I don't know if they were or not...but it just seems odd they lost by that much...especially with it being a bowl game threat for clemson.
b/c I've never seen Smelley play so bad. I mean I def like Garcia better...but Smelley usually at least MAKES some passes!!!! He just sucked this game! Gamecocks played the worst I've seen them this season....they just GAVE the game away... and I think what makes the most mad at USC is that Clemson didn't deserve a bowl game this year (sorry clemson fans...I do like clemson...some, I just like Gamecocks more) but even Clemson fans (or at least the one's I know) admitted that Clemson didn't earn it this year...their season sucked! but they still got it anyways...oh well I guess at least we get to go to a HIGHER bowl than them.

Clemson is going to the Gator Bowl which is awesome, and I do think they deserve it. Clemson had the talent all year, they just didn't have unity or motivation. Dabo turned the ship around, and the beating they put on the Gamecocks is real. Clemson pressured Smelley all game; you can not throw great passes when you're pressured. He was constantly forced out of the pocket or having to throw over a guy in orange flailing his arms.
Gamecocks didn't even look like they wanted to play...at least not first string.
