This year for Christmas Eve my family is coming to our house for dinner. I'm slightly nervous as this is the first time I'll be making any sort of holiday dinner for anyone other than H. Here is my menu so far, let me know what you ladies think !
FYI - My family typically has mainly fish/shrimp on Christmas Eve so I'm trying to go with something more than a shrimp cocktail.

Crab Crescent Rolls (http://cookingwithkrista.blogspot.com/2011/02/crab-filled-crescent-wontons.html)
Cheese Ball with Crackers (Cream cheese, ranch dressing mix, green onions, green peppers, cheddar cheese, real bacon bits)
Bacon wrapped cocktail weenies (http://pinterest.com/pin/193091902744835781/)
Veggie Tray
Peanut Butter and Banana Pie (http://mysoulisthesky.blogspot.ca/2012/03/creamy-peanut-butter-pie.html)
Caramel Apple Pie with Vanilla Ice Cream
I'm also worried about having enough for everyone. There will be 8 people total for dinner - 3 adult females, 4 adults males, and 1 five year old. Should I double each recipe? Or just add other food options? Thanks for the help ladies!
Re: Christmas Eve Dinner
I think it looks good. My only concern is it seems like more "snack" options than meal options. I would look at including another side/veggie item. You have the potatoes so maybe a veggie side like corn or green beans or something of the sort.
I think as far as the number of people I would be worried about the smaller items that people may eat more of. Like the shrimp or cocktail weenies. That is stuff people are going to get more than 1 or 2 of so make sure you cook plenty of those.
This sounds good depending on the size ham you're getting. I also agree that I would add another veggie side, but that's just me.
Here's the "rule of thumb" for food portions: 6oz meat, 4oz starch, 4 oz veggies, 2oz side dishes, 1-2 rolls per person
Something else to consider, especially since you're serving a lot of seafood is timing and the amount of space you have in your oven.
Good luck! Everything looks really tasty!!
