I work with EVIL women *vent*
I'm finishing up a 7-month contract working in a small department at a large company. There are four of us - and I'm the newcomer. The other three are evil. They are honestly the meanest women I've ever met.
They were relatively nice to begin with, but have become increasingly rude as time as passed. I mean eye-rolling every time I speak or ask a question (and I don't ask many - I'm very good at my job). It's gotten to the point where if I'm passing one of them in the hall, I will say "Hi" (We work in the same department but in different rooms so we don't see each other all day sometimes) they will IGNORE me and continue walking. Just so mean. There is no reason for it that I can think of. They go out for lunch together 3+ times a week and never invite me, go quiet when I enter the room (Hmmm wonder what they were talking about?), etc. My poor boyfriend has to hear me complain about these evil b!tches every day after work.
Today was the final straw. This Friday is my last day (ever - thank god!) and one of them is leaving today for Holiday vacation, and won't be back until after I'm gone. She just left the office and said nothing to me. After 7 months of working closely together. Completely unbelievable.
I know I shouldn't care so much, but I've never encountered so much rudeness in my life. It's really starting to bring me down. I cannot wait to be done at this place!!! Now let the job hunt continue...

Honey, I have "been there and done that," same as you, and it's no fun. In my case, I can tell you exactly what happened. I have noticed a pattern at the work place. Where's there's at least 2 women, and a third woman or more comes in, they're usually going to find 1 woman to literally "treat like a dog." It gives them a sense of power and control. And, I'll tell you something else, whether a small or large Company, it tells me something about MANAGEMENT or the "lack of it" there also, in any setting. Mine was a small setting, and we had a "ring-leader," and the other worker just "kissed-up" to the ring-leader to stay in her "good graces," because like me, the other worker had already figured out that the ring-leader would be there until the day the doors closed or she died! Now, that' for a good reason most of the time. She was either RELATED to the Owners,or had something to hold over their heads, she snitched to the Boss, or sleeping with the Boss. Judging from what I know, I think in her case, she was a relative who also held something over their heads. But eventually, 3 or 4 times, EVERYONE has left that office, except...of course, the ring-leader; so honey,
I'm glad you're out of there! Good luck! These Companies CREATE these monsters, and then unfortunately, it's too late to change them.
