  • Yay! Hi Clare!
  • Welcome back Clare!

  • Hello Mom of THREE!  Hope you are all doing well!
  • Ha! Hi! So things happened so fast the other night I basically have my iPhone and the tv to entertain me, hence I'm here! Still at the hospital - being sprung tomorrow.

We almost had a Parkway baby, this happened so fast! I had been losing my plug all weekend and clear leakage all Sunday. Couldn't get a hold of my practice that evening so I figured I'd just play it out bc I could still feel the baby move and no contrax. We went to bed at 9 and a really strong contrax woke me at 1055p. Went to the bathroom and had some blood, so DH got dressed and went to get stuff for my bag while I called the neighbor for the boys and got dressed. I think DH was in a daze bc it took like 30 mins (and several strong, close contrax before i hsd to push him to get out of the house. We got to Magee's ER around 1155 (found out later DH did 110 on the highway!); got admitted and brought back to be checked and I was first fully dilated, then he thought 8-9cm and then confusion started when they found out my last was a section. They asked me if I wanted the "c" about 10 secs before u shouted "I have to push!" lol

ling story short, maybe about 5 pushes later my surprise boy was born at 1228a. He had his hand up by his face so I have a labial tear and 2nd degree tear. He is healthy and overall very content and nursing well.

I can now say I have had a vaginal with epidural, c-section and VBAC au naturale. I give credit to anyone going natural; if my labor had been any longer, I would have caved!

The boys a met last night and i got s glimpse of my crazy future when DH webt to get the older one food. Lord help me now!!!

    Thx so much for asking!

  • Wow, you've done it all! I didn't get my epi with Wes till I was fully dilated, so I can somewhat relate... it is intense. Three boys -- what a loved mama you'll be! Congrats again!
  • My goodness Clare!  He really didn't like all of that planning you were doing, did he?  He is so precious!  Take care of you, too! Good luck!
  •  I agree that you are grossly out numbered but will be dearly loved by all those boys in your house!  Congratulations again, and thanks for the update!

DH is 1 of 4 boys with no sisters. His mom was definitely outnumbered but man do those boys love their mom!! And she now gets to enjoy Girly stuff finally with having a granddaughter.
