I imagine this board will be even more dead than usual tomorrow and Monday. So what's on tap for everybody this weekend through Tuesday?
I am working tomorrow and Monday. As of now, we have not gotten news of an early dismissal for Christmas Eve. I find that astounding.
Friday: wrapping, wrapping, wrapping. I want to get it all done. Since I haven't started yet, this is ambitious.
Saturday: smallish holiday party with the besties in the afternoon. Most likely finishing the wrapping I didn't get to in the evening whilst drinking beers with DH.
Sunday: baking/chilling out
Monday (Christmas Eve): working. We have an open house on DHs side that we're invited to every year. We were trying to coordinate with MIL but she's not going until after the kid is in bed so we're likely skipping. No back up plans in place so possibly a quiet night in.
Tuesday (Christmas): morning at home just the 3 of us (yay!), afternoon at my parents and then home most likely by 8. Should be a pretty low key but awesome day.
Wednesday: I took off so we'll go to MILs for dinner for Christmas part 2.
ETA: we just got the email that we're allowed to leave two measly hours early. Bah humbug!
Re: Weekend/holiday plans
I have off Friday - Wednesday!
Tomorrow: dr. appt in the morning and then picking up a few last minute things and doing whatever I want! will probably rent the rug dr. and try to get a few things in order. At night our friends from NC are in town so we'll go visit them and meet their kid.
Saturday - nothing during the day. Hopefully more kitchen demo and then dinner for my nephews 1st bday.
Sunday - NOTHING!
Monday - lunch with the ILs and then we usually go to church with them and then we all get in our pjs and watch christmas movies and order Chinese food.
Tuesday - might have bfast at my moms but then dinner at my moms also with the entire family!
Wednesday - relax for the day!
My little nuggets
Fri- I am off as usual, lots of running around to do for last minute gift cards and things. I need one gift from the mall and I am dreading going, may go bright and early to avoid the crazies. Then baking shopping if it doesn't get done today and begin the baking marathon.
Sat- parade dress rehearsal, hockey game, baking marathon continues, chinese food date with JD, and hopefully wrapping
Sun- mummer festival then pizza party and gingerbread house making with a friend and her kids
Mon- just found out I need to work a half day, booo. Then dinner at MIL's then polyanna at aunt's with my family. It is going to be a looooong day
Tues- Il's over for breakfast then my parents for dinner
Wed- off! planning on a pajama party with the kids with movies and playing all day long
Jonathan Dean 4.5.08
Anna Capri 5.4.11
Friday - took a vacation day so I could run some errands and get a massage.
Saturday - errands/food prep for xmas eve
Sun - more food prep and cleaning for xmas eve
Mon - our office is closed and we are hosting xmas eve dinner at our house so I'll be busy all day.
Tuesday - quiet morning at home with just my boys and then lunch at Mr. D's aunt's house. Might swing by my aunt's house on the way home depending on the time.
I have to work Wed and Thurs but I'm off Friday and then the following Monday and Tuesday.
#1 12.11.11
#2 10.23.13 EDD
I have a half day today and then off until Jan 8. Perks of working at an international school
DD is still going to daycare tomorrow so I can go grocery shopping during the day before the stores get too crazy...wishful thinking? Also running some last minute errands so I can avoid going out over the weekend.
Sat-Sun...cleaning, wrapping, cooking prep, baking for gifts. rental tables and chairs delivered and will set tables too.
Mon - p/u seafood at 9am, stop at starbucks on the way home and throw quiche in oven. My aunt, sister, and cousin will be over by 10am and we will start cooking and baking for the day. Family will be over after 4:00 mass for apps, dinner and dessert. I am cooking for 37 people this year!!!! MIL, BIL, SIL, niece and nephew will sleep over.
Tues - check out Santa's loot. I do stockings for everyone, too.
Thurs - spa day in the city with my mom and sister...this was my "slice" present from DH
DH is off until Jan 2nd so we will do some family stuff and relax. He bought a tub of party mix from BJs yesterday to celebrate, haha.
I have to work tomorrow but I do get Monday, and of course Tuesday, off. I wish I had vacation time left because I hate the idea of having to drive back on Christmas night but ah-well.
I'll be in CT for the holiday. I'll be staying with my brother in Newtown on Saturday and Sunday and I am then going to stay with my sister on Christmas Eve. My brother and his family were originally planning to stay home for the holiday but, in light of resent events, have decided to go to my SIL's sisters house in D.C.
DH won't be coming with me. I'm a little worried, and sad, about leaving him home but he'll actually be happiest that way. He's having his radiation treatment next Thursday and Friday so right now he is off his hormones and on an low iodine diet. He's basically only able to eat fresh fruit, vegetables and lean meat (no dairy, no seafood, no soy, no salt (unless it is kosher salt) no fun). Poor guy. Between the diet and not being on the hormones, he's not going to be a happy camper!
Today is actually my first day back to work after being stuck in the house for 5 days with a sinus infection and bronchitis. I am feeling a little tired today, so not sure if I pushed it yet.
Tonight- decorate the Christmas tree and DH is making dinner of london broil. Since I've been sick, all that's on the tree are the lights so far so we're a little behind in decorating.
Tomorrow- work
Saturday- Depending on how I feel, grab a few last minute gifts and put gifts together.
Sunday- DH's birthday. I am hoping to take him out to dinner.
Monday- I am off (I think) and DH has to work, so I may do any last minute wrapping and I possibly want to attempt making Panko shrimp for dinner at my mom's. When DH comes home, we will go to my parents' for the fish dinner, which should be interesting, since I can't eat most of it
Tuesday- DH has to work again, so I'll probably go to mass with my family and then when DH comes home, we'll open gifts and go to my parents' for dinner
Wednesday- Since I surprisingly failed my 1 hour glucose test last week, I'll be spending my morning at Quest Diagnostics taking the 3 hour test. I may then go into work to try and catch up on things since I believe we are closed that day and no one will be here. The lab is right around the corner from my job anyway.
I have work friday and monday, monday I'm sure we'll get out about noon. They never tell us before hand.
Saturday, I plan to bake cookies
Sunday, there is some kind of parade down 2 street
I have a couple of things to wrap, but other than that, I am all done.
Friday- possible engagement party. JEGs' best friend proposed to his girlfriend last weekend!
Saturday- finally getting around to getting JEGs' birthday gift (2 months later.. oops) and then a my friend's annual holiday party.
Sunday- "Christmas Eve" dinner with my family. My brother, his wife and their three kids don't come over for Christmas day, so we do a big dinner on Christmas Eve. We are having it on Sunday because....
Monday- I have to work 2:30p- 11:30p. $%&*#$.
Tuesday- breakfast at my ILs and dinner at my parents.
I am working tomorrow. I hope to go to the grocery store tomorrow night
On Sat, it is cleaning, cooking, hair and nails done.
Sun- small party at our house
Mon- I work, but will leave around lunchtime. We are going to BIL/SIL house.
Tues- Going to my sister's house
Wed-Fri- Work
Tomorrow I have to attend a viewing in the morning, then headed to DH's school for lunch with him and his co-worker who wants to see the kids and give them gifts. Working at night from 4:30-9:30, which will be actually fun because it's our holiday party with the kids in our after school care program and DD loves party days.
Saturday I have mom & me swim lessons with DD in the morning, then DH wants to take the kids to Macy's in the afternoon for the light show- we'll see...I'm kind of thinking it's a recipe for disaster with two young kids right before Christmas there...then at night I have a million gifts to wrap.
Sunday we have Church, then lunch at FIL's to celebrate Christmas with him and his wife. Might head to my parents' at night to watch movies with my siblings, who are both home and staying with my parents.
Monday I work during the day, and then going to Mass, then my family and DH's grandmom will come over to our house for Chinese. MIL is coming too, yippee.
Tuesday we will lounge around in the morning just the four of us, and then go to my aunt's for dinner.
Wednesday I work during the day, then MIL's for Christmas with her and her boyfriend and BIL and SIL and their significant others. Again, yippee.
Have a great holiday everybody!!
