The cookie post got me thinkning of this. After my gram passed away, my mom found her "cook book" which was a spiral bound notebook where my gram wrote down her favorite recipes. It also contained the list of Christmas cookies she was planning to make any given year with the date, and notes with how they turned out and how they could be better.
Since my grandparents also had a farm, during the summer they would get a big crew together to put hay into the barn. So the book also has the menus for those each summer, and the recipes for how to cook for 20+ hungry men.
I think my mom had the book copied for me. She's kinda bad at keeping secrets and has dropped a few hints. If she didn't do this I'm going to be so disappointed.
I'm pretty sure my mom got me a Tom Bihn knitting bag. I am unreasonably excited about this. And she knows my taste well, so I am excited to see what surprises there are, too.
And I'm curious to see if DH arranged for the kids to get me anything...since he knows there are gifts from the kids to him.
