I think we decided to do a book club challenge starting 1 Jan - YAY! There's an updated tab in the excel sheet for Winter 2013, go in and add categories.
If someone wants to join, we can sent you an email for the shared doc.
How are we going to decide the 50 pointer that we all read?

Re: Book Club Challenge
The Rowdy Roberts
I've seen a lot of Gone Girl - Gillian Flynn mentioned a lot in B&N emails and other Best of 2012 lists... Looks pretty interesting. It's also a goodreads winner for 2012 (which is another category).
Looks really interesting to me!
I read this book while I was in Germany....stayed awake most of the flight back to finish it...it was really good. I definitely recommend this book and would love the opportunity to talk about it with other people who have read it. But...I will be honest and say the ending wasn't exactly great. My friend was mad at me for letting her read it with the ending what it was. However...I still stand by my recommendation!
I would love to join in on a book club challenge!
YAY!!!
I just put this book on my list of books I wanted the library to pull for me yesterday! but i'll hold to read it if we're going to make it a 50pointer. but if uderin has already read it maybe we could find something else.
The Rowdy Roberts
I just filled in the rest of the categories! I think I'm getting to the point where I'll be ready to do it in January
Uderin do you want to give Mana or I your email so we can share the google document with you? I'm excited your going to join in!
I'm okay with you all reading it, even though I have...I'll just read something else when you read it.

Maybe Mrs. Penumbra's 24 hour Bookstore would be the 50 pointer as talked about in the tread above.
I still plan on listening to Gone Girl for book mentioned on NBC... so we can still talk about it!
I'm really going to try this time, girls! I'm so disappointed in myself for my lack of reading this summer, especially since that's when I have the most time to read.
Meanwhile, my CW wants to start a book club at work and we met last night to talk details. And by talk details, I mean drink wine. We did talk books for a little bit, though. I mentioned Gone Girl and everyone seemed to like the synopsis, so I think that's what we're going to read.
boy (n): a noise with dirt on it
Not too late at all PM your email address and I'll share the google document with you.
YGPM.

Emailed you! How it works is there's different categories and you choose a book within the category to read. When you're finished with a book fill in the title and author in your column on the spreadsheet.
uderin: I emailed you too sorry I didn't do it sooner, I just saw the PM
I am so excited you girls are joining in! It starts January 1st and goes to the end of March. We usually do a post every Monday detailing what we've read for the week and how we are liking the books. And we wait until the end of the challenge to talk about the 50 pointer so we all have a chance to read it.
