I took the leap

And joined weight watchers online.  I have to do something, I'm 17lbs heavier then I was at this point last year and my clothes don't fit.  I will not buy fat clothes, I'm just refusing, so short of going naked, I figured it was time to do something.  My only concern is H is a total junk food junkie, he's 6'4" and weighs 170 lbs and eats like a horse and is frankly a bad influence.  So ladies wish me luck, I want to lose 25lb by my birthday in Sept.

Re: I took the leap

  • Good luck! A few years ago, I did WW and lost 100 lbs. I lost 90 in the first 9 months and the last ten took me forever. I have gained some of it back but I just have to get back into it. Good luck!

  • Good luck!!! I know it can be hard when h eats differently than you! If you do the grocery shopping just try to not buy as much of the junk, don't bake etc... Wishing you all the best!!!

  • Good luck!!! I have a similar H 6'6" and a bit of a rail. Eats way more bad things than I do and it stays on me not him.

I have tried implementing a "you can take it to work don't leave it in our kitchen" rule wich is working better (but the 5 bags of chips I discovered yesterday in the top closet make me think it needs a refresher). So my goal has been to try and clean out our kitchen and only put good things on the counter. I have mostly gotten him to at least substitute out- PopChips or sweet potato chips instead of Lays type of thing so if I get tempted it's less of a thing.

We need a new year refresh on that but we were pretty good for a number of months and it really helped me keep it off.  Granted now I have some things that are getting a bit tighter so I need to start paying attention again.

  • Good Luck! I been thinking about joining too...I really need to lose some!  My Doctor yelled at me. :(

I see my cardiologist next month and he's not going to be pleased. My ablation was in Feb so I have no excuses other then bad choices.

  • Good luck!! My grandmom and aunt both lost a ton of weight on Weight Watchers and have been able to keep most of it off.

A few girls at my office are starting it too. I can't wait to join them!
