Just this week my husband and I bought a pricey cream colored upholstered ottoman/coffee table and wing chair for our open floor plan living room area. We don't have children (yet) and don't have people over too often, but will more, as we've only just moved in. What I DO have is a husband who loves to put his feet up and a 110 lb b&w newfoundland.
I'd like to live in my house and not tip toe around but I also don't want to sacrifice furnishings I've always wanted and finally have. Does anyone recommend or have advice on scotchgarding these pieces?
This morning at 630a, we walked down and found our dog curled up on the extra large ottoman, which in his defense does look like a new bed for him. After taking a quick photo, I yelled and got him off and will be working on teaching him not to go on it.
When we use it as an ottoman, I plan to put a blanket on the side his feet will go on...but still feel like we should scotchgard.
