All-Inclusive

I am looking to plan a girls trip for the end of March.  We are looking for All-Inclusive, either in DR, Bahamas or Mexico.  Since it will be all girls, we are not looking for a resort that just caters to couples.  I'm open to suggestions!  Thanks!

Re: All-Inclusive

  • I went to Secrets Silversands with a group of girls. It was not my favorite resort, but it definitely caters more to groups and adult singles than couples. It's also one of the more reasonably priced Secrets resorts.

  • I went to the Valentin Imperial Maya in the Riveria Maya at the end of May for a 30th birthday trip. It is definitely a resort that caters to groups of friends as we saw quite a few.
  • I am a TA that specializes in All Inclusive vacations.  There are not a lot of choices in the Bahamas and it can be pricey.  In Mexico and the DR there are many choices and many resorts that will fit the bill.  Prices vary.  The beaches in both Punta Cana and Cancun or Riviera Maya are great.  If you like the night life, staying in Cancun or near Playa del Carmen would be a good fit.

If you want help let me know.

  • I'd love to hear what you think about Luxury Bahia Principe Cayo Levantado??  I've just started doing research and, from everything I'm reading, this sounds like the place for us.  And, if you know the area, what is the best way to fly in - I know the airport in Samana is limited so does it make sense to fly into another airport and then take a vehicle to Samana?  Thanks for whatever info you can offer!
  • Sorry for the late response, I have had the flu and have been out of it for the last 2 weeks.

To answer your question, this resort is a stand out among travelers from all over the world.  I simply think you could not go wrong for a honeymoon or romantic vacation here and it will be an adults only as of May.  The airport in Samana is limited as you have mentioned, but is the closest airport.  If you fly into Punta Cana the ride will be very long over 4 hours.  That being said you have to look at the cost and then decide what is better for you.  If you get private transfer from Punta Cana it may cost you more but could cut the time down a little.  Hope that helps.  If it was me I would fly into Samana if at all possible.  Feel free to email me at myoasisvacations@yahoo.com if you have other questions.
