CCP South Hills (Fort Couch) or CCP Mt. Lebo?

We currently go to CCP Shadyside and love our doctor there, but I'm getting tired of the drive.

Any feedback on these practices? Is there a nurse line during office hours where you can ask questions from a nurse in the office?

Thanks!

Re: CCP South Hills (Fort Couch) or CCP Mt. Lebo?

  • We use the one on Fort Couch road.  I've always been happy with them, except for one doc who left the practice.  I've seen almost all of the docs there, and the NP, and I've always been satisfied.  Yes, they have a nurse line.  I imagine the practices are run very similarly.  They also do walk in hours from Nov-March from 8-9 am I think it is M-F, just to handle those things that come up (like colds, flu, etc), which is really nice.  And they have Saturday morning hours by appointment.

FWIW, I used to go to CCP Moon when we lived out there, and I really loved my doc out there.  I didn't want to switch practices, but the drive was just too much for things like colds, etc. when I needed a same day appt that I didn't plan for.  I have been very happy with my decision, and I'm glad I made the switch...though I will still always miss our first pedi.  :)

    Good luck!

  • we use mt lebanon. we see Dr, Gotkewicz (sp) because Adam was in the hospitlal several days with Jaundice and he ended up being the dismissing Dr, and the follow up so we just stuck with him. We interviewed with Dr. Lanz ( the sr. at the prictice) after an Awesome recommendation from my SIL.

Yes they do have nurses during the day. I have called and asked to speak with the nurse a few times in the last 4 yrs. They are always very helpful, have returned calls and even called to follow up and check in before in certain situations!

  • I think that the south hills location is where Michelle takes the kids.  She should be able to provide some specific feedback I bet!

We use Fort Couch as well. See Dr. Ciampa usually, but have really liked all the doctors there. One thing I like is that the wait is usually pretty minimal, if at all.
