South Beach - Hotel Recs Please!
My husband and I are headed to South Beach for a long weekend in early April. We need to book our hotel. We are looking for something reasonable, on Collins or Ocean Drive, and not a hole in the wall if you will. We are currently considering The Bentley and The National. The National is still a little above what we were hoping to spend. Any recommendations for hotels and/or feedback on experiences with hotels/trips to Miami is greatly appreciated! Thanks

I would look into some of the smaller boutique hotels if you want a great deal. There were some really nice ones on Collins and Ocean Drive.
Last time I was in Miami we stayed at the Chelsea Hotel on Washington. Three blocks from the beach and a block up from Collins. It's a boutique hotel fairly decent. We were able to get great rates on Hotels.com.
I used Hotwire and ended up at Hotel Breakwater. It was totally great and in a great location. I did The Bentley many years ago and it was nice. Hotel Breakwater was very nice, in our budget, service, food and location was perfect for a South Beach getaway http://www.breakwatersouthbeach.com/overview.htm
