Big A!

I need smoothie help. I know I have asked you a million times about your smoothie routines and i promise to write everything down this time.

I leave my house a$$ early so I dont want to use my blender at 5am, so I wanted to start making them ahead of time and keep them in the fridge like you do. Can you tell me what kind of stuff you put in yours again?

Re: Big A!

  • no problem. I'm going to make a huge batch tonight!

    green smoothie

1 cup water, 1 cup kale, 1 bananna, 1 granny smith apple, 1 tbsp parsley. blend together. I also had almond butter to mine for extra protein.

so I make mine and then just store them in the fridge in mason jars. I'll make like 4 mason jars full at a time so i'm not pulling out the blender every other day.

and that makes enough for 2 mornings worth.

  • I think I am going to try this too. I am really not getting enough of anything but carbs, and maybe this will help!

  • also, and I know its intense, that detox I did was life changing for me. I had never felt better, physically and emotionally.  I think you should consider it. was it easy, no, but it was totally worth it and really its the first couple of days thats hard after that I wasn't going to do anything to veer off track. I wanted to prove to myself and everyone how amazing I was, haha. and see how much weight I could lose. but it wasn't until after I had finished the detox that I saw how happy I was and how it had completed changed my outlook on a lot of things.
  • I just re-read your blog post about the first week of the detox and it reminds me a lot of the southbeach minus the no meat. I know I can follow that kind of a routine. Chris would not be happy about me doing it because it dosent look like a lot of food and for some reason he worries about me starving myself.

My first goal is to stop drinking. I drink too much now as it is and part of my new years goals are to really cut back my alcohol. I didnt drink much last week while I was home and I felt amazing. I drank last night at my moms and today I feel like crap.

  • one thing at a time! i'm not a person that does things in moderation well. i'm all in or not in at all. but after doing this detox the amount I drink has decreased significantly.

My MIL made a deal with herself she wouldn't drink during the week and that works for her. I find personally that if I go to the gym after work i'm less likely to have a bad day and want mass alcohol

  • Im joining a Zumba class twice a week at night so Im hoping that will make me feel better. Its been so long since I have done something good for my body that I need to do this now.

I figure that we have no weekend plans at all from now until my 30th so there is no reason why I cant cut all alcohol out during the week and limit my drinks on the weekends.

I'm right there with ya! I wasn't going to start yoga until after our move, but I'm really thinking I'm just going to go to my old place this month. I just feel awful and something has to give.

I know a few people who have cut drinking and it has helped QUICKLY and a lot.

  • Oops! 2 cups of water

I have no idea! I just made a bunch of this and didn't add it. I personally don't think it changes the flavor all that much. there is probably some sort of cleansing property to it
