So it's January 2nd and I know that there are lots of us out there who are planning on working out and eating better. Since I think that most of us are starting from scratch, lets talk about our goals. What are your goals for the next week, month and where do you want to see yourself by this time next year?

Re: Weightloss Wednesday
Goals for this week are to set up a meal plan, go to the grocery store, clean out our fridge and pantry of the bad foods, and get some new work out clothes. Also, going back to the gym (which is going to be hell since I haven't been for 7 months!).
This month, I'd like to loose 5lbs. Same for next month. I need to loose about 20 total. The last 10 are going to be the hardest, so I just have to remember not to get discouraged when I don't see any results in that final stretch.
By this time next year, I want to be in the best shape of my life. H and I want to start trying in a year or so, and he made a good point to me a couple of days ago. I had told him that it's going to suck getting pregnant and gaining weight after I put so much effort into getting back into good shape. He said, "Say you gain 30lbs while your pregnant. You're 20lbs over your goal weight right now. Would you rather be 50lbs or 30lbs away from your goal weight after the baby?"
I kick myself in the butt all the time because I just think - if I would have stuck with it all those other times I started, I would be where I want to be right now. I just have to keep thinking like that and finally get there. When H and I met, I was in pretty good shape and so was he. We've both let ourselves go and I am hoping that if I stay on track, he will too. Don't get me wrong, I'm still very much attracted to him, but he had damn sexy arms and chest when we met. I want that back! lol
Goals this week - I restarted 17 day diet today. Very low carb, high turkey/chicken protein and lotsa veggies. 2 fruit/day and 2 yogurts. I'm stuffed and i've only had half my mega salad!
Goals for the month - this is the intense part of the diet, so I'm really hoping for 15 lbs. Then Phase 2 starts and I want to start running 3 days a week to get ready for a 5K in March.
My goals have changed from Monday to Tuesday. Ultimately, I want to lose 10 pounds and tone/strengthen up.
My goals prior to yesterday were to slim down mostly in my stomach and hips. My hips have always been my problem area.
Yesterday, while H and I were straightening up the apartment, I put down an empty laundry basket and did something to my back. I was barely able to stand up. I realized as the day and pain went on, that the pain was also in my abs and this probably happened because of my weak core.
My first fitness goal, which I will begin tomorrow if I feel better, is to strengthen my core. Hopefully I'll feel better by Monday and begin cardio again then.
My goal for the month is to lose 5-8 pounds. I hope to lose the remainder in February. Then I plan to tone up and strengthen all around. I hope to stay motivated once I've reached my goal to maintain.
