Toddler in Vegas?

I used to love Vegas but haven't been there in 4 years now (since before I was pregnant).  I really want to go, but when we travel we have to take our son with us.  Is it a bad idea to take him to Vegas?  I feel like a bad parent but I see that there are kid friendly things to do there.  Any experience with this?  He is 3.

Re: Toddler in Vegas?

  • I'm sure there will be varying opinions, but I wouldn't take a young child to Las Vegas. It felt pretty anti-kid when I was there. Consider a more family friendly spot where he can experience something new (sand, snow, woods, etc).
  • i guess i would think about what you want to do in vegas since "you really want to go."  if the answer is gamble / drink / club / see shows, I would obviously say no :)  If you want to lay by the pool, go to M&M world, etc then sure, why not?

There are always tons of kids in Vegas... but if you are pushing a stroller at 2AM drinking a yard of frozen margarita you are definitely getting a side eye from me ;)
