weight gain

How much weight have you gained since being married ?

I have put on over 40 lbs....We have been married 17 years.

My wife has put on a lot as well.

Re: weight gain

  • As a married man myself I believe I need to correct you.  You have gained some weight, your wife has not!  These are the facts.

    Right on, ROFL!!!

To answer question of OP: I have put on roughly 10 pounds, my husband has put on about the same. We have been married 2 and a half years.

  • I have put on about 7, but it has more to do with work than marriage. DH has tried to gain a few pounds to no avail. The guy is all skin and bones.
  • I fluctuated between 5 and 7 lbs over the 19 months we have been married. DH gained about 35 lbs since our wedding day.

  • Been married 2 yrs, I gained 15 lbs, my husband has gained 10 lbs. This is because I did stop working out when we got married, I lived with parents before we got married so I didn't clean, cook, do laundry etc...I work full time so I run home and do chores and cook so I get too lazy to go gym.
  • None but we are still pretty young and have only been together almost 6 years and almost married 5. I have been doing my best this past month to workout every day and eat right. I have been trying to change my lifestyle so we will see if as I get older I end up gaining weight.

  • I weigh the same, but we have only been married for about 2 1/2 years. My husband also weighs the same as he did when we got married.

  • I have been married for 1 1/2 years and I have put on 15lbs. I attribute much of that to being on birth control. As soon as I hit the one year mark of being on BCP I started blowing up. :(

  • None...But my DH and I are really into fitness and maintaining a healthy lifestyle....I do Insanity and He does P90X.

  • I've actually lost 10lbs since I was married in Sept.

To be fair though, I had gained about 80lbs while dating DH for the past 4 years and I've been spending the past year and a half trying to get back down to a healthy weight.

  • i've gained about 19 pounds in the 10 years we've been married.  i feel gross.  i was in the best shape of my life for the wedding, so while i realize that's probably not something i'll easily attain again, i would like to drop ten or so.

dh has gained like 75 pounds.  his weight has always been an issue.
