I just got an email from my employer letting us know that becase we are state employees we get a discount when signing up for WW. So instead of paying the $20 a month and the $50 joiner fee, we get to forgo the joiner fee and pay $16 a month.
So while yes, I am jumping on the NY resolution fitness band wagon, I am excited that I am going to save over $50 to do it.
Has anyone else ever done WW? I have friends that swear by it.
Re: Weight Watchers
I have never done it but i've heard it can be really good!
I think the nice part about the diet is that they don't say you can't drink at all. they say you have this many points and if you want to drink a beer know you have to give x up.
i'm excited for you!

Im excited that I am this is excited about it. After looking at pictures from NYE, I knew I had to do something.
I am thrilled that you arent restricted to certian foods. I also like that with the whole health and fitness movement that has been taking over this country, so many resturants have healthier options on their main menus, not some special hidden in the back menu.
i remember my aunt carrying around this little black book that she had taped all the nutritionals to things and it had a calculator and blank pages that she manually added things up.
Im so glad theres an app for that!
I did it after I had L and LOVED it. I loved being able to eat whatever I wanted, and fruits and veggies are 0 points. That really encouraged me to make good snacking choices, and then I could have a brownie or ice cream at night!
It's a very flexible program which really worked for me. GOOD LUCK!!!!

I believe my former CW did that and lost 30 lbs while on travel. She goes back on it when she feels like she's gaining some.
What does while on travel mean?
My aunt and my grandmom did it and lost a ton of weight. I think my grandmom said she lost like 90 pounds.
Some co-workers just signed up for it. I might join them in the spring or use myfitnesspal.com like Mana. I used that to get ready for my wedding and it was great!
She was bounced around different states/bases for like 3 months straight. So she got the products and ate that instead of eating out every meal (they usually put you up at a hotel so you don't have a kitchen). I would have gained weight... not lose 30 lbs
haha we call "travel" TDY - Temporary Duty... I knew you guys won't know TDY.
