Just saw my first direct deposit for the new year. Assuming the rest of the year stays the same, I've lost $143.20/month or $1718.40/yr from my take-home pay.
That essentially negated my last pay raise....

Married the love of my life on 1-21-12. Our princess arrived on 5-28-13.
Despite the last minute "fiscal cliff" arrangement, Congress did not renew a 2% social security tax cut that Obama put in sometime ago. So at a minimum, everybody should be seeing about 2% of their income disappear. Plus or minus whatever deductions and tax-free contributions you might be making.
That at least gives you a starting point.
