Talk Chuck E Cheese with me
The place I loved as a kid, I now dread as an adult. We promised dd that when she started pooping on the potty we would take her to Chuck E Cheese (Thank you Sprout for bringing Chuck E to her attention
). Well, we are about 5 months overdue on keeping our end of the bargain. So we are going on Saturday evening.
So tell me....
How awfully crowded is it going to be (we are either going to North Hill or Bridgeville)?
Do they still have a ball pit? Because, seriously I don't want to go anywhere near a ball pit in cold/flu season.
Are there things for my 2 year old to do?
Thanks for your help!
Re: Talk Chuck E Cheese with me
No ball pit at the n. hills location. I've been on a Saturday late afternoon/early evening...and it wasn't terribly crowded. Crowded, yes...but tolerable. I think the thing that gets me is just the noise level. Not just the sound of the kids, but all of the games are so loud, the sound of the parties from the other side, the TV's, the parents yelling at their kids...
My advice would be to print out some coupons (you can get them online) and pack some tylenol.

We went in between Christmas and New Year's for one of C's cousins birthdays. She is only 19 months and was entertained so I think your 2 year old should be fine. C liked the little rides, especially the mini merry go round and this little tea cup. She would sign for more whenever the ride stopped. There were two or three games she liked - one involved pushing down a big dog bone to open this dog's mouth and she liked it.
We went to Monroeville, but there was not a ball pit, which I was very grateful for!
Have fun!
No ball pit at the North Hills location. I've one 2x on a Sat early (around 11 AM). Once was dead and the last time before Christmas it was packed.
My "advice" would be in regard to the stupid tickets. If your DC wants something from the treat counter, you know, where you turn in your tickets, it is FAR cheaper to buy the tickets and pay for the prize than to keep buying tokens and try to win tickets.
It's basically $0.25 a token (or $0.20 if you get coupons). You win on average 2 tickets. You can purchase tickets for a penny (yes, $0.01) a piece at the counter. So the stupid Dora jump rope that was 300 tickets.... while we only had 59 tickets or something, I gave the woman $3 and got a jump rope and gave another lttle kid the tickets and made him happy.
But at 2, I suspect that your child will b more interested in the rides than the tickets and prize counter!
