5/5/12- Cinco de Mayo! We decided it was a win/win. H wouldn't ever forget our anniversary, and I'd always want to go celebrate Cinco de Mayo
Occupation?
I work for a large payroll company, but I work on the taxxy side of things. Basically, my co-worker and I make sure we are making the correct tax payments and filing correct returns for all of our clients. Believe it or not, I enjoy doing my work!

Two brothers: Matt (older) and Andrew (younger, but a full foot taller than me).
H and I are both middle children.

We have a family dog, who I adopted while I was in MO, and then brought home to CT with me. Due to my situation at the time, he sort of became my parents dog, and eventually became my brother's dog. He is Davis, a lab/golden mix, and is our 'healer' pup. He helps out whoever needs him!
H and I have a mutt named Marley.. H has had him since puppy-hood, so about 8 years now. He's cracks us up daily.

Born and raised in CT. Grew up in West Hartford, then went to college in Roanoke, VA. Moved to St. Louis after college for about 4 years, and then came back here. H and I live in New Britain, CT, in the house that he had bought years ago, which turns out to be about 10 miles from my childhood home. haha.
What kind of car do you drive?
and H let's me 
I make the car payments on my 2008 Hyundai Elantra (almost done!) but I usually drive the 2011 Toyota Highlander... I say it's because of the 'snow.'
What kind of car do you want to drive?
I really like the Highlander. It's a Hybrid, and keeps track of our MPG after refueling, so H and I have a game we play and we try to get the 'High Score' haha. We're dorks.
Why do you like the Nest?
I don't have a lot of newly married friends IRL, I have friends who have been married forever, and friends that are still single, so while planning a wedding, I was looking for a sounding board. Little did I know I would find this amazing group of ladies, who are all so different, yet so similar! YOU are all the reason I like the Nest!
What is your favorite restaurant?
I think right now that's my favorite.
Oh gosh. We have a little place called BarTaco that is yum. It has a beachy feel, even though we're no where near the beach
What is your least favorite chore?
Picking up dog poo outside..

I don't mind dusting, sweeping, etc.. Or doing laundry- even the folding. Just don't like the putting away
Where do you like to vacation?
Cape Cod is one of my favorites.. We used to go there every summer when I was a kid. But after the honeymoon, I have to also say French Polynesia. Ya know, they're pretty much the same, right?
Who is your favorite celebrity? Why?
She is actually H's favorite too, and Zoey (non-traditional spelling for a reason) is one girls name we actually agree on.
Zooey Deschenal. She sings, dances, acts, seems pretty down to earth, and is just quirky. She makes me happy.
Do you watch sports? If so what's your favorite?
I much prefer playing to watching, but.. yes, I watch some sports. I don't like watching baseball on tv, but am happy to go to a game. I have definitely enjoyed Football a lot more this season, since I joined a Fantasy league

oh gosh. I was too old to be watching it, but it was David Lascher, as Ted on Hey, Dude. haha

I like pretty much all music. Country got me through some rough times, though. I really like Ryan Montbleu Band.. Met him while volunteering at the Life is Good Festival, and he seemed to be a fun, quirky guy

Tape. There were two. Beaches Soundtrack and Vanilla Ice (see? I've always had pretty eclectic taste! haha)
Who is you hero and why?
I even failed a HS French essay because I called him my hero haha
My grandfather. He and my grandmother worked so hard for their family, and turned out 6 incredible kids. He taught me to never give up, still bowling after he had his first leg amputated! He passed away on my 17th birthday, and there was an article about him in the newspaper... he was known as the 'singing mailman' because he would serenade people as he delivered their mail. He kept his head up always and family was everything to him. Yep. My hero
What is your dream job?
I like my zamboni job. But I loved teaching off-site programs for the St. Louis Science Center. There are a lot of things I'd love to do

I guess some shade of blue? It really changes based on my mood

Thanksgiving. We do both a family Thanksgiving and a friends thanksgiving.. and I love just spending time with my favorites!

Some sort of bird. I love swimming, and have a feeling that the only thing better than swimming would be flying!

Again with flying? Or perhaps knowing when people are lying? I think that would be the most useful!

How many more minutes can I sleep??

*Why can't I sleep?* or just trying to be content with the happy things in my life.

I don't not believe, I guess. I have no idea what it is or would be, but I don't necessarily believe we're the only planet that has life. (Which reminds me of one of my favorite activities from the Science Center, but that's another story!)

Used to have my ears pierced, but let them close up because I was allergic to a lot of metals, and they would so easily get infected.

Physically, teeth. Same as everyone. Personality wise, I notice sense of humor (and smile.. goes with the teeth haha) and if they care to look beneath the surface.
Are you mostly a clean or messy person?
I can go either way. If I'm living with someone who wants things clean, then I'm clean. If they don't care, then often I don't go out of my way to clean up as much. It's not something that's important to me, one way or another.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?
I like where I am, mostly because it's where a lot of my family is, and after being halfway across the country from them, I have learned to realize how much I enjoy spending time with them. BUT, I would totally be willing to try somewhere new with H, and our family.
If you could visit anywhere in the world, where would you go?
I haven't ever been to Europe, and that's somewhere I'd love to go!
Name one regret you have:
No real regrets. Every choice I've made has had a part in who I am today, and I have learned from each and every one of them. I do, however, wish I hadn't listened to my parents who told me that I should stay in Vegas, because even though my grandmother was nearing the end, she would be there when I got home two days later. She wasn't.
Name one thing you miss about being a kid:

Not really sure.. I don't know that I have one right now? Jack Johnson "Better Together" was our first dance, so that's sort of my overall favorite.

Sunday afternoons are best spent with my little family.. H, and the pup, and myself.. on a walk, or a drive, or an adventure of some sort... or just lounging around watching a movie in our jammies. We'll be together.

I know the alphabet in sign language, and I'm fluent in pig latin. I don't think driving a zamboni is a hidden talent

Grilled cheese and tomato soup. It's my go-to comfort meal.

Can I wish for more wishes?
1. To be less critical of myself, and my outward appearance. Not necessarily less critical, but certainly more realistic.
2. More vacation time (and more money to use for vacations haha)

I once won a medal in a figure skating competition, and wanted to play Hockey in HS.
Annnnd I was evacuated from my apartment in STL because it was falling down a hill.
How do you feel about cookies?
Aren't they delicious? I'm picky about them, though. Some I like, some I don't so much. But if I like 'em.. forget it. I could eat them for breakfast, lunch, and dinner

I do! My college roommate and I had a pet turtle named Ernie. He was the best!
