Clense anyone?

Have any of you ever done a clense before?  I did one several years ago and I was just curious what/if anything new is out there that you ladies have tried.  The one I did was a juice clense that I stayed on for several days. All I know is I would love to "fit" into my clothes again and need more than just the working out that I'm doing.

Re: Clense anyone?

  • I don't know of any, but I would do one with you if we find something!

  • I guess more than anything I just don't know much about them or how they work. Not much help here sorry.
  • A FB friend of mine just posted about starting a clense this week and all people said was "good luck living in your bathroom for a week!"

Seems like a good idea for dropping lbs fast...but honestly I think they're a bunch of crap (pun intended) If I drank water and nothing but water for a week...yes I'd loose weight, but the minute I started eating again, most weight would come back.

I'm a firm believer in changing eating habits and starting new exercises...more lifestyle changes instead of a quick and temporary fix.

This.  This is what I wanted to say, but I didn't want it to come across the wrong way :)

  • I guess I didn't mean a "drink only diet" for a month.  I went to the natural food store last night and they recommended a herbal tea called "Detox" by Yogi.  It is mild enough that you can use it everyday for 10 days to just help "flush" out toxins and nonsense in your system.  Reading online last night lots of people do these detox's a couple of times a year to just help eliminate stuff in your system.

Hubby and I restarted our good eating habits and hitting the gym everyday this week, so we're good to go again.  Holidays were awful.... Was just looking for ideas to help the process.

  • Ehh it's hard to say.  These things aren't regulated by the FDA like regular medications, so the company can pretty much say whatever they want as far as claims go.

It might not do anything, but it's probably not harmful.  And there is a lot to be said for the placebo effect.  Go for it you want to try it!
