  • I'm doing ok.  I haven't gone to the gym like I wanted to because of a stomach bug and migraines.  We are eating much better and hope to get into the gym soon.

  • I thought I did pretty well last week, but then I got on the scale and had gained 2 pounds?! I'm hoping it's just because of where I'm at in my menstrual cycle and trying not to get discouraged. This week I've been going to the gym and trying to get my eating back on track because I've been having issues with my gallbladder again.

  • Okay... I haven't participated in this before, but I think I'm going to start! :) I lost thirty pounds about a year and a half ago, and just realized a week and a half ago that I have gained about 18 of it back. That being said, I'm trying to work out, but its hard getting back into it!

    My goal this year is to lose 30 pounds (which includes that weight gain I have gotten back) so I'll be less than DH has ever seen me before. We'll see!

  • I've gained 14 pounds since the wedding and I'm pretty upset about it!  I had the flu and managed to gain weight without being able to eat anything.  I'm trying to get back on track, but I am recovering from a sinus infection and it's kicking my butt!  Tomorrow is my last day of antibiotics, so I'm hoping to get back to a regular workout routine by this weekend!  I'm getting a gym membership this week.  There is a free gym at my work, but I can't use it on weekends.  I'm also hoping that paying for it will make me use it.

    As far as food goes I'm doing really good with that.  The holidays were bad news for eating healthy!

  • As of this weekend I lost 3 lbs on 17 day diet.  I'm allowing some cheats but really trying to stick with it.  I have 9 more days of phase 1!  Hoping that 3 turns into 10...

    No gym yet until I'm on phase 2, but I did walk at lunch yesterday.  I promised my CW if she didn't give into cookies in the breakroom I'll work with her.  win-win!  2 miles and I got to see the sun during work hours.

     I'm in the same boat.  I lost about 45 lbs from February to December 2011 on Weight Watchers.  I'm up a bit from my lowest weight, and about 15 lbs up from where I was really happy with myself.  DH is up too after losing about 40 lbs, and is back to being down only 15 lbs from his start weight.  I'm healthy, but he has been overweight for a long time and is pre-diabetic and has to take medication for his cholesterol!  Scary considering he is only 26.  

     We are seeing a nutritionist who is totally along my lines of thinking.  I don't believe in using artificial sweeteners, etc.  This woman is going to have us eating healthier and changing lifestyles slowly but I truly believe it is going to happen for us.  DH is excited about her too!  He is starting with his first small changes this week and we will go together to see him again in two weeks for some more small changes.  Technically, he is the only patient right now, but when I become pregnant, I plan having her follow me.  I lost enough weight where I really don't want extra weight on me when I am pregnant and going to have to work too hard to get it off. 

  • I had a doctor's appt yesterday and i didnt gain anymore weight from my last visit a month ago, woo hoo! I know i can gain easily and pre-pregnancy had to work to maintain the weight that i was on our wedding day, i have been at almost 200 lbs before and I refuse to just eat whatever and use the "im expecting" excuse.

     On another note i made it to the gym 2x already this week and planning on tomorrow as well. This is progress from my first trimester where all i wanted to do was sleep.

    So while im not trying to lose weight I am hoping that consistent work outs will help keep the weight gain where doctors recommend and not get out of control, which is one of my fears right now.

  • I gained another half pound.  This is how it works with me.  I begin to gain back a half pound a week and suddenly, I'm up 10 pounds.

     So now here come all of my excuses...

     Monday I was going to go to the gym after work, but I was drained because I was getting my period and just couldn't function.

    Tuesday, I went to the gym after work.  I almost didn't, but forced myself.  Once I was there, it was easy to do 30 minutes of cardio.

    Yesterday, I couldn't go because I had a meeting after work and I didn't want to go home, eat dinner, then go to the gym.  

    I was planning to go today, but my boss asked me to be the representative for a committee that I'm on at school at the district-wide meeting after school today.  I am going to try to force myself after dinner to go.  I am also going tomorrow after work and maybe Saturday morning.  

    Eating has been terrible because I have my period and that means I can eat whatever I want.
