Thailand & Cambodia ideas?
Hubby and I are planning a trip to Thailand and Cambodia, probably in October of this year. We are thinking of spending a few days each in Siem Reap (Angor Wat), Chiang Mai and Phuket. Any suggestions or reviews for things to do and places to stay will be appreciated!
Re: Thailand & Cambodia ideas?
Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime.

We loved Chiang Mai! I stayed at the Meridien in Chiang Mai and that was a wonderful hotel, right in the center of everything. We went to the Patara Elephant Farm which was amazing, would definitely recommend.
We also visited Phuket but I wouldn't recommend our hotel there. However, we did an awesome boat/snorkeling excursion to the phi phi islands using Simba Sea trips, which I would highly recommend.
I got great recs for restaurants and activities on the trip advisor forums, so you might want to read some of the posts there too.
