Such a Downer Today....

ugh. Today is just not my day. We are already dropping 400 plus bucks to get our car fixed this weekend. Then, early this morning on my way to get T, the windshield wipers quit working. They've been pretty crappy for a week now, just haven't gotten out to get new ones. While, they flat out will not work now. They won't go up or down or move at all. T thinks we just need new ones. I think some cable or something snapped. Lord knows how much that's going to cost to get fixed.

We have Rain-X on it for now. Attempting to rearrange some things in order to get the windshield fixed. Sadly, all the repairs are as equally important so I can't just get this fixed and hold off on the other things.

Augh. End of vent.

Hope your day and weekend get better. I hate car repairs - probably because they are so necessary.

I feel your pain somewhat thought. We are planning to sell my car once the baby gets here since it's a two door and not really baby friendly. Of course in the last 6 months things have started to go wonky on it. I've had the car for almost 5 years with nothing, and now all this.

It started with my blinker stopping making noise - the clicking. It works but you can't hear it. Then it got worse. Now my blinker won't turn off. I can turn it on but I have to manually turn it off or I'm the idiot driving down the road with my turn signal on. UGH! Then my stereo stopped working in my front speakers. First it was only occasional but now it's all the time. DH says it's a wiring issue and he can get the part to fix it all. That will save us money from having to take it in.

Tuesday this week on my way to work a huge rock hit my windshield and now I have a long crack all the way across the bottom. So we get to replace the windshield now too. I'm really tempted to get this all fixed and then stop driving it and sell it now. I can drive DH's truck since that's what I plan to drive after. I just want things to stop going wrong with my car so I can sell it.

I need new Windshield wiper blades too. Autozone is having a sale on them. However, if yours won't go up or down it may be the windshiled wiper motor or just a fuse.

To make matters worse, the car didn't even get repaired today! It was a mechanic from our church that was doing them. He said (or rather texted) to T to drop our car off at his house and he'll drive it to work. We could then pick it up at the dealership he works at when he's finished. We couldn't find his house! T thinks he might have made a mistake while texting T his address. So we left it at our church (which is still in town) and sent him a text. Apparently he didn't get the message until this morning! UGH! I'm not mad at him, just more frustrated. And every single car repair place around here closes at 12pm. Since T and I were up so late last night, we slept in this morning and it was past 12pm by the time we got out.

So now, we came to T's parents house for nothing. Ugh. Well, we're gonna stay here since it's much closer to my work and I have to work all weekend and use his parent's car. Hopefully the car holds out for the drive home tomorrow night. Monday, since I have the day off, I'm going to try and get in to some place around here so that my sister or my mom can pick me up. Since I live about a half hour away from my/his parents and our family. I've heard that what needs to be done to our car could take up to five plus hours. No way am I sitting there that long.

AUGH!!!! End of rant. again. haha. Cars are so incredibly frustrating.
