Next year or the year after so about Jan 2014 or 2015 my parent-in-laws, and sister-in-law and her husband want to go on a cruise with me and my soon to be husband. We have NEVER been on a cruise so we need a little guidance.
Has anybody been on a cruise that has had no problems (food poisoning, breaking down, etc)? If so, which line/ship/to where? We are looking for a 3-4 night kind of thing. Any info would be great! Thanks in advance.
Re: In law family cruise?
I've been on several cruises and never had any of the problems you mention. It sounds like you might be a bit paranoid. Those things do happen and can happen but they are definitely the exception and not the norm.
I think you need to decide where you want to cruise, and from which port you want to depart and go from there. I've been on Princess and Norweigan and loved them both.
Since you have about 2 years I'd go to your library and take out some books on different islands. See which appeal to you most then find a cruise that stops at them
i find the short Bahamas cruises to be not nearly as fun as the weeklong ones and the Bahamas ports really disappointing.
Do your research
I have definitely been on cruises with no norovirus, but every line/ship is at risk. You always have to take precautions and wash your hands a lot.
I've never been on a ship that had mechanical problems. We've had itinerary changes due to weather and pirates (near Seychelles), but never mechanical issues.
