Philadelphia Nesties
Dear Community,
Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.
If you have questions about this, please email help@theknot.com.
Thank you.
Note: This only affects The Nest's community members and will not affect members on The Bump or The Knot.
Which CSA do you belong to? The hubs and I are definitely signing up for one this year for a half share and looking for recs or feedback.
Re: JenD
I am part of the Lancaster Farm Fresh CSA. I really liked the variety each week. It was a challenge to use some of the veggies I had never cooked with or even heard of but it was neat to try out some new recipes. Most were hits with a couple of misses. They send you a list of what to expect each week so you can plan your meals. We also signed up for the fruit share too but you have to purchase a veggie share to be eligible.
I have all of the weekly emails saved from last year's shares so if you post your email, I'll send you a few so you can get an idea of what to expect. There is a swap box at the pickup site to leave items from your share that you don't want but I recommend giving each unfamiliar item a shot. Who knew I'd love hakurei turnips?!
If you want to start now, the winter share starts next week and you can still sign up. I think it runs 10 weeks. You can also add a share of yogurt, milk, eggs, bread, cheese, meat or tofu too.

What day of the week do you pick up?
I'll send a few now.
Pickup depends on your location - Glenside is a Thursday pickup.
