I kind of asked this a while ago in conjunction with other car seat questions, but thought I'd ask again directly now that it's closer.
We're going to Hawaii in a few weeks. We won't use anything on the plane but need something once we're there. In the past we've used the cosco scenera as our travel seat. It's small and light and we can just gate check it. However it goes up to 40lbs. DD is right at 40lbs. Our other seats are just too big to travel with so the only other option is to use the backless booster of our graco argos.
I'm just nervous to go with a backless booster!! But she is 4.5 so by law she could use it. I guess since she's really right at the limit of the cosco scenera it's probably best to not use it anyways. I was hoping she'd either be under or over, not right at the limit!
Any thoughts? We have 2 connections on the way there and one on the way back. And have 1 inter island flight that we'd have to deal with it on as well (1 way flight) and will be away for 2 weeks. Obviously the booster would be the smallest/easiest to deal with. Would you just go with that and stop worrying about it?
Re: Another carseat travel question
What about a backed booster? Would that give you more comfort (and they are very light)?
My three sons!
our seat is also a backed booster. Maybe I will look at it more and see how it is but seems big enough to be a pain. Not sure i want to buy a different one just to travel although not sure how much they are.
