Interview Attire

I need some advice. I have an interview on Thursday and now I am second guessing myself on what I was planning on wearing. It is a skirt suit, it is long enough. The one thing I am debating is it has short sleeves. It fits good and is not tight. Are short sleeves okay to wear?? I have seen both yes and no!! I just graduated and wore it on the day we did our "mock" interviews and my teachers said it was a nice suit. Opinions?

Re: Interview Attire

  • I don't see anything wrong with that. Depending on the type of top it is, you could always get a suit jacket that matches the skirt.

  • For work events I don't wear skirts above my knee. That's my general rule. Short sleeves is fine if you'll be comfortable. I ALWAYS get cold so I plan a jacket with my outfits.
  • Can you post a pic? At least a pic of a similar suite?

  • I would say a skirt suit would be nice.
  • It sounds fine.  I wouldn't think anything about someone in a short sleeve suit in the summer.  Where I am winters are cold, so short sleeves would look odd but otherwise assuming you are in a climate where short sleeves fit, I don't see a problem.
