I uploaded most of these to Facebook last night. But I never can remember who checks Facebook and who doesn't. Here are pictures of all my sewing projects so far.
The lighting isn't quite right. The pink is a soft baby pink with tiny white dots. And I love the ducky fabric.
This was the second blanket I made. I found the ducky fabric on clearance over the weekend and couldn't resist. Both pieces are cotton. I wanted something that would work through the summer.
This was the first burp cloth I made. Not bad, but my later attempts were a bit neater. I've got three in this brown heart fabric.
Here's a picture of the frog blanket. I wanted to give a size reference. Not sure how well it works. Each blanket is 1 yard of fabric which is about 3 feet long. So far most of my blankets are about 3 feet wide as well.
Front and back of the frog blanket. This was the first one I made last week. Both pieces are flannel so they are nice and soft. Since Lily is due in March I know it's going to be cold still.
I really am trying not to go crazy on the pink. I don't want everything to be pink but when buying girl stuff it's hard to stay away from it. I made this blanket last night. I found the unicorn fabric on clearance last weekend. It's cotton. They had the same unicorn print on a green fabric but honestly the pink was cuter. yesterday I went to Hobby Lobby and found the pink minky fabric on sale. It's so soft!!! This is my favorite blanket so far. I figure it will be a nice heavy one to drape over her car seat.
Last but not least the burp cloth I made last night. I like this fabric because it had a lot of yellow and orange in it - not just pink. Found on clearance in the fabric remnant bin so I didn't have enough to make a blanket. I made 4 of these last night.
I do have another piece of fabric for another blanket that I got on clearance last weekend. It's blue with green frog princes and purple butterflies on it. No pink!!! YAY. But I need to find a second piece of fabric for the back. Then I might have to cut myself off. No more blankets - at least not for me. They are just so easy to make. I'm going to make my friend some blankets. She is having twins in May. Just waiting to hear what she's having. She said she'll announce it next week. And I'd love to make a blanket for all of our mamas on this board! Let me know if you want gender neutral or gender specific. And also if you have a preference on type of fabric: cotton, flannel, soft minky.

Thanks!! And of course, rain check granted.
I was actually thinking I might need to go back and see if the ducky fabric is still on clearance. It was 70% off. I wouldn't mind stocking up my fabric drawer now for future projects.
Yeah! = ) 70 percent off is a really nice deal, from what little I know about fabric anyways. I've made a few of those no sew blankets, the ones where you cut strips and tie two pieces of fleece together. I saw that Hobby Lobby has rubber duck fleece and I was going to make one for myself. But it's 13 some odd dollars a yard...waiting for a sale on that = )
Have I ever mentioned that I love rubber ducks? I should post new pictures of my bathroom because there are twice as many as before. T just goes with it haha

I've been wanting one for years but always had something else on my list to buy first. Guess I just needed the right motivation.
I'm definitely trying to keep my eye out for gender neutral stuff. Especially if it goes on clearance. Most fabrics (in the baby section) are gender specific. So I need to watch for ducky fabric and froggie fabric!
You have a couple of years for me
take your time haha
