Daycare Recommendation in Lansdale

Looking for a recommendation for a daycare in Lansdale. I would prefer an in-home provider but looking for any recommendation at this point. I have toured Play and Learn and Children of America, so far.

Thank you!

Re: Daycare Recommendation in Lansdale

  • Hey!

I'm from Lansdale!  Are you new to the area?

I don't have any kids, but I know one of the teachers at Lansdale Montessori, and I've heard good things about it. It's in St. Luke's UCC on Main St.

  • Lived here for about two years. First baby due in April so I need something with infant care. I've heard of Lansdale Montessori and will definitely look into it when my daughter is older.

  • Welcome to the board!

I'll ask around and see if I can get any recommendations.

  • Have you tried sittercity.com?  A friend of mine - also from Lansdale - found a good person there.  There's also the Hershey's Kiss church on Troxel that I can't remember the name of for some reason right now.  The cost is very reasonable when I looked at it, but I only needed a part time preschool not a day care.

  • Thanks, ladies. My daughter is due the beginning of April and I'm starting to stress a little about finding a daycare, even though I'll have 12 weeks of maternity leave.

  • Kinderworks is a great facility.

    edit: It's in Montgomeryville

  • We looked at several places in Lansdale. We liked the Play and Learn and it was our second choice. Our first choice actually closed the first week of my maternity leave, and by then DH had a different job so we had picked a place closer to our jobs.

But we looked at: Play and Learn, the Hershey kiss church mentioned above (I cant think of the name but it's the church by the Towamencin PD) Castle Academy in Skippack, and Rainbow Express near York Ave elementary.

My whole block uses Rainbow Express and looooooooooves it there. I think it only starts at 6 mos though.

    I now am a SAHM.

I've heard not so great things about the Children of Americas here.
