I'm in the same boat. My house is a disaster between toys and Christmas decor half put away. I am forgetting to do a million things on a regular basis and I have hit that burnt out point where all I want to do is go home and crash.
I need a real vacation - one with a warm beach, tropical waters and a hot waiter to bring me food and drinks while I lay on a beach chair and read all day.
I am OVER this weather, if I don't get some sunshine soon I'm going to have to wear a visor with lights like in "Northern Exposure" http://home.comcast.net/~mcnotes/517.html (link to the episode reference).
I had to take one of our dogs to the vet this morning for her anxiety, they upped her prozac and added zanex back. Poor thing, she's so sweet, hopefully she'll stop shaking.
I realized today I am 5000 miles past due for an oil change, I only noticed when my washer fluid light came on. BIG OOPS
Brooks has been napping for an extra hour at school and then going to bed at a normal time and sleeping better at night, if this continues I may finally get healthy and he might get a pony.
I want my bed.
This weather does suck.
53 days till vacation!!
Almost 20% of the students at my school are out with the flu today. This is the worst it has been in my 7 years here. My class right now has only 1 student - yeah, not teaching! He's catching up on work since he was out sick the past 2 days.
I realized after I got to school that I am dressed a lot like Sister Mary Frances in Sister Act. Black tights, charcoal skirt, black tank, black ballet flats. The only things saving me are the green cardigan and multicolored scarf. I am in desperate need to do wash and buy some clothes that fit me. I'm still not able to squeeze my hips into my pre-preg pants but the pants I bought in Nov are ginormous. #weightlossproblems
DH is planning a spring break trip to celebrate my 30th bday but I don't know where we are going yet. I was supposed to find out last week on my bday but he told me he's still working on it. I am so impatient!
It was so hard to wake up today, and I just want to go back to bed. I hate that my husband works for himself, and can go in whenever he feels like it. I am tempted to nap in my car at lunch today.....too weird?!?!?!
This time next month, we will be on the beach for two weeks. I just have to remind myself of this to get through this nasty weather. And, the optimist in me says.....it could be worst, this could be snow!
This one is a little funny.
DH's grandparents live in Hanover, he hasn't told them I'm pg because he doesn't think they'll understand the science and instead think that I had sex with another man, that's its somehow my baby and I will be giving away our child.
The guy just came to take final measurements for our kitchen and couldn't finish the job because apparently there used to be a stove and vent in the corner of the kitchen that is effing up our plans. Now we need to just tear down the walls and dry wall them. This kitchen is soooo not getting done before the boys get here. In the meantime crap is piling up everywhere and its kinda making me nuts.
The upside..i'm working from home and i'm still in my pjs.

My boss is insane. He FREAKED OUT at several of us yesterday afternoon in a meeting without cause. He then called my cell phone last night and left a rambling message to apologize. Then when I saw him this morning he gave me this awkward side huge and told me he loves me.
This is the president of my company. Not normal behavior.
I am watching the film version of RENT, a few scenes a night. I've never seen the live show, and really don't know any background on it, except for having heard a couple of songs before.
I am assuming that as a viewer you are supposed to empathize/sympathize with the main characters. I find myself annoyed with them all and rooting for Taye Diggs as he works to evict them and/or collect rent.
I think that every time I try to watch something that's a great theater show (whether live or a film version) it reinforces to me a little more that I am not a theater person in the least.
They RENT soundtrack will not be playing in my mind for the rest of the day. Once it starts, I just can't turn it off!
I escaped a layoff today after my company was recently bought out...I think. I heard this through the grapevine but will find out for sure tomorrow. Also hearing that newco only gives their employees off for four federal holidays. I need a new job.
Happy Endings is hilarious. More people should be watching it.
I had to go to traffic court this morning in Bucks. The judge was a douche. He walked in and everyone just sat there. He was all "hasn't anyone ever seen Law and Order?" Everyone looked confused and hesitantly stood up. It was really funny.
My old job gave us 6 federal holidays and 1 free floating holiday, but you could pretty much use it anytime.
At my school, some fed holidays fall over the scheduled breaks (Christmas, T-day, NYD, 4th July, Labor Day), but we have school on the rest of them...including Memorial Day this year. I try not to complain because I am off from June 4 to the last week in August.

Oh, and we just got the bills for Jack's surgery so we're out another $1K+.
I stopped drinking during the week but I'm having a big glass of wine tonight. Maybe two.
