Communication while CRUISING??
How do you keep in touch with family while on a cruise? Both with family who are at HOME (our kids will be with my parents and I'd like to check in daily, if possible!) as well as if you get separated with those you are on the cruise with? I'm concerned DH will wander and I won't be able to find him! LOL

Email family either through ship or wifi/smartphone on shore. There are emergency #s for the ship that you can give them just in case.
Cant help you with a wandering husband. Tell him to not wander off?!
You are concerned that DH will wander on the ship or in port? On the ship is no big deal, really. It is OK to be separated for a while. Just make an agreement to check in at certan intervals. I have seen people use motorola walkie talkies if it is that big of a deal to you to know where he is at all times.
The most economical thing to do in terms of being in touch at home is to use free wifi when you are in port somewhere. The fees on the ship are outrageous and can add up fast. Everywhere we stop we ask for wifi passwords to check email, etc and it is never a problem. If you have to call home while at sea it is something like $10/minute.
Well first take a deep breath and realize your probably gonna miss a day or two. The ship fees are outrageous and since your not in port everyday the wifi option isn't there. But yes otherwise access wifi when you have a chance.
As for wandering just make a certain meeting place if you get separated on shore options or a set time if your doing your own thing on sea days.
