Because the stupid poll function wont work!!??
Blah.
Does anyone have a windows phone? what do you think?
A guy I work with told me to avoid HTC cause they aren't doing so hot...I refuse to pay more than $50 for a phone with a contract renew but I NEED a new phone. my old one is not a "real" smart phone... and I am for some reason having a hard time choosing!
( I'd prefer a slide keyboard but that isn't an option.

Re: POLL: Cell Phones OR NOT
All friends I know that have owned one, have traded it in within two weeks and got an iPhone...probably not what you wanted to hear.... But I do love my iPhone and I loved my reg 4g one until Randy traded mine up to a 5 in a surprise..
If I were to get a new phone right now, this is what I would most likely get. I used one for work while traveling and I liked it. I have an HTC now and I've had zero problems really. It's starting to slow down now and do some annoying things but I think I've had it for two years, if not longer.
I haven't heard many good things about the Windows phone. I asked our IT guy a month or so ago his feelings about it because he's pretty hip to phones and he didn't have much good to say. I can't find the conversation we had to give specifics, though.
I do know that he has one of the newer Samsung Galaxy's of some sort and really likes it.
Thanks everyone!
I didn't really want an iphone...not sure why really- because everyone else has one? lol...I don't own a coach bag either.
No but really i just wasn't super interested in it. I also didn't want to spend more than $50 and since I had to got to a corporate store because they were pushing my upgrade for me since my old phone was giving me so much trouble I was limited on "cheap" options.
I did research CNET- I found them really helpful since they do top phones per provider. I was interested to see they gave the pantech phone a really good review. But I couldn't bring myself to buy it...
I did end up with the HTC ONE XV I think it is... Dh is happy with his HTC. It was $50 and it was one of the smaller phones. Since I work in a kitchen I need to be able to comfortably keep it in my pocket. I use it regularly to get text from the chef and managers so I need to have it handy and can't leave it laying out!
I like it so far, it is taking a little getting used to- especially the touch screen keypad for me. I also don't like that i have to push that tiny power button on top to wake it up all the time- even just to check the time. My old phone had a square much like the iphones, that i could hit to wake it up with out unlocking it.

If you put a password on it, it shouldn't actually unlock when you push the button. You can also adjust the "time out" length so it stays lit longer... but it may drain the battery.
Thanks! i did figure out how to make it stay lit a little longer and how to keep it lit while it charges which is super helpful at night so I don't have to fumble to get the button at time to see the time since i use my phone as my clock and alarm.
It doesn't actually unlock when i hit the button I have to "pull the ring" but i wish it would wake up, from black with a touch somewhere other than the tiny little button on the top right. lol. Sometimes at work my hands aren't the cleanest and i used to use what ever finger was clean to check my old phone- not so much with this on!
