Wedding Cake
Did anyone else save part of their cake? Just curious. I am going to be eating some of mine in a little over an hour, so we shall see how it held up.

I just took mine out from the bottom of our chest freezer. I'm not sure if it'll be any good. We lost power twice since it's been in there. Once in July for 48 hours and once in October for 12.

ours got thrown out....which is probably okay. I didn't really enjoy our cake that much anyways. My aunt and uncle hired a friend of theirs to make ours and paid for it. We never had a cake tasting or anything. Wish we would have, it wasn't very good.
I made some cupcakes though to celebrate. Those turned out good = )

Hope your cake is still good Tara. We had several cupcakes leftover and my mom took them home to freeze for us since we did the whole Colorado wedding thing. And by mid summer she and my brother had eaten them all. I was so upset. I'd only been back to visit once and specifically said "I can't get them now but I will next time. We don't need them all, but we'd like at least 2 if not 4". And we were planning to visit a few weeks out. I know she told me before I visited so she didn't have to deal with me face to face about it. I loved our cupcakes. They were amazing. So I was very hurt that they ate them all.
We went out to eat on our anniversary and ordered dessert at the restaurant. It didn't even occur to me to maybe have an anniversary cake made locally. I might do that for Valentines day. Kind of a belated Anniversary cake.
We didn't try it last night but we will tonight. I'll let you guys know how it is.

MIchelle- I am so sorry about your cupcakes. That totally sucks.
We did eat ours last night. I was surprisingly good. It was a bit drier that it was a year ago, but we did have a super moist cake to begin with. So it wasn't bad at all. I did have like 8 layers of saran wrap around it though. The baker told us to do that. But buttercream is a good insulator.
