What the heck is Crack Chicken? I am so interested as to why it's called Crack Chicken.

Re: *Underwne*

  • Haha! It's real name is "Blue Ribbon Chicken" found in the Fix-it and Forget Cookbook. My H renamed it to Crack Chicken because it sounds like the ingredients someone addicted would crack would have and would throw together. We also really like! It's cheap, easy to put together and yummy!

    Ingredients:

    2-3 chicken breasts (cubed)

8 oz bottle of thousand Island dressing

    1 packet onion soup mix

    1 can of whole cranberry

    Instructions:

Mix the can of cranberry, thousand island and onion soup together in a bowl.

Place the cubed chicken breasts at the bottom of the crock pot and pour the mixture over the chicken.

Leave in crockpot in the fridge overnight (I make the night before and just put the "crock" in the fridge and throw it into the "pot" before I leave for work).

Take out in the morning and cook on low for 6-8 hours.

I then make some quick white rice and mixed veggies. I use a slotted spoon to take the chicken out of the mixture and put it over the rice and mix in the veggies. It is soo good! Strangely...it takes like Thanksgiving...

  • That sounds like something H would love. I may need to try some crack chicken.
  • I'll warn you...it looks really weird at first, but it is really good...
