HSV Girls- Consignment Shop ?

Do you take your clothes to a consignment shop? If you do, which one? What is their policy?

Re: HSV Girls- Consignment Shop ?

  • This isn't much help but we just give our clothes to Purple Heart. They come around every so often and pick them up. GL!

  • We normally give ours to the Salvation Army, but I have some really nice things that still have tags! I thought maybe I could get a couple of buck for those items and give the rest away.

  • There is one in Athens I use but it may be out of the way for you. If you want some info on them just page me.

  • Did we ever get a Plato's Closet?  I thought I heard at one point we might.  There's one in Auburn and that's where I always went to get a costume for a theme party.  Daisy Delt, Pimps and Hoes... Lol.
  • Plato's Closet was in the shopping center infront of the Target shopping center. It closed down shortly after opening and now it's like a battery store.

  • I consign with Act II Consignment.  It is past Madison Square Mall in the Burlington Coat Factory shopping center...it's actually on the opposite end of BCF next to Subway.  I would say it's an okay consignment shop...nothing great.  I mean, I never feel like I make alot of money or anything, but I'll make a little here and there.  She is pretty picky about what she accepts...I often end up leaving with almost as much as I went there to consign.  I think there is a $15 fee for first time consigners, but I think she will take it out of your profit so you don't have to pay it up front.  I think you keep 2/3 and she gets 1/3...not positive about that though.  HTH!
  • Thanks ladies! I will look in to that Monica.
