Re: QOTD 1/24

  • Ha! H & I were actually just talking about this the other day after watching a King of Queens re-run.

H only works with his boss so he doesn't really have the option of a "work-wife".

I'm not close with any of my co-workers so no real work husband for me. But H jokes that one of the men I work with is my work husband, mainly because he's one of the few people here I don't hate.

  • I don't, or don't think I do at any rate. H definitely does, but he doesn't have a work-wife...he has a work-husband! He met his best friend through his job at the time about 5-6 years ago. They actually became roommates and lived together until I moved in with H. Then H got another job right after we got engaged, and a few months ago he got his friend a job with his new company! So now they're back working together and rekindling the office bromance, LOL. H and I hang around with him a lot and he was in our wedding party. We joke all the time that I was the 'other woman' that broke up their 'marriage', but he fortunately doesn't seem to hold it against me... :)

  • I have 3... we are in a quad of cubes and I'm the lone girl.  We all get alone, talk, and hang out outside of work with our SOs.  We were like this before, and we moved buildings so we set it up so we were together.  I can't really talk about work outside of work, so these things form a lot here.

I also have a work wife I talk to on messanger all day, and our Hs worked together other the fall.  We get dinner with them from time to time.  Man I'm a work-spouse wh0re!

H has a work husband for his old job.  They still hang out.

  • Not really, no. I have a work younger brother, that's it, ha.

DH does have a work wife. I can't promise it's my favorite thing in the world, but I'm not worried or concerned. I just don't have to like it, do I? ;)

  • I wouldn't have ever thought of the phrase "work husband" to apply...but there is a male co-worker I'm pretty good friends with. We used to carpool, but now we don't see each other much since we stopped. We've hung out outside of work a few times, we even went on a mini-vacation with him and his wife.

  • I only work with 2 men.  1 is quite cooky, but entertaining.  The other is arrogant and I actually can't stand to be in the same room with him.  So, no, I don't have a work husband.

H is new at his job, he's only been there for a month.  He shares a cubicle with a woman, but they just small talk.
