Paris & somewhere in Ireland - Accomodations?

I'm just starting to plan our 10th anniversary trip. I don't know which is more shocking to me, 10 years married or 10 years on the Nest! hahaha! Anyway, part of our trip will include 2 nights in Paris and 1 night somewhere in Ireland.

Can anyone suggest a very romantic accomodation in Paris? Would prefer a smaller or boutique hotel or some other type of accomodation (guest house, B&B or apt) -- as long as it anniversary-worthy (we are willing to splurge a bit) and is within walking distance of nice cafes. A good view would be nice, but not required. Budget is not a concern. Years ago we stayed in Montmartre, so maybe a different arrondissement this time.

As for Ireland, we are looking to stay somewhere within two hours drive of Dublin Airport. We don't want to be in Dublin or Cashel, Co. Tipperary. We've been to Ireland loads of times, so we don't need to see any sights. We're just looking for something romantic with a lovely restaurant nearby. We've already been to Inch House (Thurles), but something like that would work. Can anyone suggest an anniversary-worthy accomodation?

Thanks!

  • The Harding Hotel on Dame Street would maybe fit as it's relatively inexpensive and in a very excellent place. It's nothing unique or anything but its very good choice. Jury's Christchurch is another, maybe better choice but it'd be a little costlier.
Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away.
  • Are you stuck on Dublin airport or would you be willing to consider Shannon?  We stayed at Dromoland Castle when we went to Ireland and it was awesome!

Unfortunately we have to do Dublin Airport.
