So Im really trying to not get my hopes up but alas..everyone around me keeps telling me they dont think this is the flu....
I took 2 tests last week but they were both negative...I am going to take another one this weekend and go from there...considering Ive not be a "normal" girl all my life..and my cousin did have false negatives while she was already 4 months preggo...so it does run in my family
I just hope I can go to work tomrrow...staying home today sucked
but was nice at same time
My symptoms...

Hubby called earlier after he got out of work and he says he just feels that I am pregnant...really really trying not to get over excited ![]()
But at same time..OMG if I am lol...crazyniess!
Re: Trying to not get my hopes up ...
I hate to totally crush your hopes and dreams, but you most likely got some kind of bug/flu.
False negatives are rare, especially if you're having pregnancy symptoms. The general rule on TTGP was that if you're pregnant enough to have symptoms, you're pregnant enough to turn a pee stick positive.
Since you seem to be prone to long/irregular cycles, maybe you should consider temping to learn when you actually ovulate. It's the only way to know for sure if/when it happens. Then you'll know exactly when to test or expect your period.
I do hope the best for you, but don't want to give you false hope. When you pick up more tests, be sure to get pink dye tests. Blue dye tests are notorious for false positives. Dollar store tests are pretty sensitive and cheap! First Response Early Result usually seemed to be the least ambiguous. Of course the digitals actually say "pregnant" or "not pregnant" but they're a lot less sensitive, so they usually turn positive later than a FRER or dollar store test.
Good luck!

I have to agree with Jessica on this one. With it being flu season I'm leaning towards that based on symptoms alone. I do think temping/charting would help a lot since you are used to having longer cycles.
And we could be wrong and you could be pregnant but without temping you don't know how early you are testing. Fingers crossed it's a baby but don't be disappointed if it's not. Let us know when you find out!!
