Crafts using things from the wedding

After my wedding I now have quite a few things that are sentimental and I wouldn't necessarily want to throw away, but just having them sit around isn't very useful either, so I wanted to see what I could incorporate into crafts.

We put a lot of thought into our table names, and the signs for each table came out beautifully. They are about 5x7" in size, (vertically tall) and they are the shape of the Kate Spade Crown Point picture frame ( http://www1.macys.com/shop/product/kate-spade-new-york-picture-frame-crown-point-4-x-6?ID=651687&CategoryID=55977&LinkType=PDPZ1). I have 11 of these table name signs, each with a different romantic couple as the name, along with a quote from that couple.

What DIY project can I do with some/all of these to put them on display? I need ideas! Thanks!

  • Well, they're already in frames.  Can you hang them on a wall somewhere?  You could use 9 of them in a 3 x 3 grid.

  • Oh they're not actually in frames - they're just printed on cardstock (the frame was just the example of the shape). I could put them all in frames, but if there was something slightly more unique I'd love a good craft project. I like your idea for arranging them though!

  • What about scrapbooking them with wedding pictures?  Or making a book with wedding pictures of loved ones.
  • I like the scrapbooking idea.  Each sign could be the beginning of a new "chapter" or could hold pictures of the people who sat at that table?

Or maybe you can make an address book with each sign as a divider, keeping those guests' contact info in the appropriate section?

You could also use some mod-podge and adhere them to the back of a bookcase, to the top of a table, or into one large frame as a collage of sorts. Or frame each individually and have them go up a staircase wall or above a guest-bedroom headboard?

Can you turn them into coasters or magnets?

Let us know what you end up doing!
