When I woke up this morning, it was like any other morning. I was covered by the top sheet while DH was wrapped in the blanket and comforter. I am not sure how I wasn't cold this morning or any other morning that I wake up like this. DH is somehow a master of stealing everything but the top sheet. I have even woke up to him yanking the pillow out from under my head because all of his pillows fell on the floor. Of course he doesn't remember this at all. lol
So today's question is...Do you have a thief in your bedroom?
my read shelf:
Re: QOTD 1/25
He is constantly pulling the pillow out from under my head and then yells at me in his sleep when I pull it back or grab it before he's able to get it.
We got a dog in December and he's not small. He's 50lbs at 7 months old. I go to bed later than DH so the dog comes in the room when I go to bed. He hops on the bed before I can get in it so i'm lucky if I have a space thats a foot wide to sleep on between DH who sleeps in the middle of the bed. I'm usually dangling off the bed most of the night.
Yes but its me! I guess i move a lot when i am sleeping so i always pull the covers from DH, but he doesnt mind bc he is always hot and im always freezing.
I "yell" at him in the morning when i have to make the bed bc the blanket is always pulled out from his side and he is like really? its bc of you, oops! I also always end up in the middle of the bed so he makes fun of me saying "for such a small person you sure do like to take up a lot of space!"
I am totally guilty of this.
I'm the one that is guilty of it usually. I'm always cold!!!
Irysh, we have a 100 lb dog, and that was the absolute one thing I was adamant about, him not sharing the bed with us! It helps that ours is really tall. We always had a dog bed at the foot of the bed, and he tends to start there when we got to bed, but ends up on the couches.......it seemed like a decent compromise so not to have a third "person" in bed with us!
I'd like to say that there's no thief in my bedroom because I'm always covered, but I am the thief. H complains most mornings that he was freezing. He says that I not only do I take the blankets but I roll in them so he can't take them back.
Apparently, this is a trait in my family. My SIL and H always complain about it because my brother does the same thing to her. H and SIL share freezing uncovered night stories.
H's cousin said her and her husband sleep with separate blankets to avoid this issue.
H is totally the blanket thief .... thankfully i dont get my pillows stolen< by him > too! lol he turns and takes the blankets with him! and our little 20lb dog is a total bed hog- she will lay on my pillows while being tucked under the blankets if i get up in the middle of the night!
tried to add pic but tinypic.com wont load
Usually, no thief. I sleep with an electric blanket turned on low, H sleeps with no cover, except me somewhat. I fall asleep on his chest, then he will wake me to roll over - or his snoring wakes me and I roll him over!
Last night, I thought he was snoring and decided to stop in the restroom before I went to the couch. As I went back in to the bedroom, it was quiet - I tried to go back to bed, but he had wrapped his arm around my pillow and I could not wake him or wrestle it loose. So - decorative pillow and extra blanket in hand, I went to the couch anyway!
Haha...ditto! I say it's him, he says its me! I really do believe that it his him though. He tends to get warm and pushes the covers onto me, and I grab them and take them when I'm given the opportunity...does that make it my fault?!? I mean, he gave them to me, right?!?
